What's new in 3.0

Edits that leave no trace.

The third version of ScanEdit Pro rebuilds the page around every correction.

Multilingual OCR

English, Italian, Spanish and French, recognised automatically.

Invisible edits

The original ink disappears and the background is rebuilt pixel by pixel, with the grain of the paper.

Paragraphs keep their shape

Lines, sentences and paragraphs stay on their original lines after every edit.

Move, rotate, resize

Drag any text, nudge it with the arrow keys, resize it and rotate it.

Recolour, duplicate, delete

Change colour, font and style, copy a whole phrase, or remove text without a trace.

Lighter exports

Compressed PDFs, lossless PNGs, and the file name you choose. On Mac, a native Rust engine builds every PDF.

How it works

From scan to corrected document — privately

No setup, nothing to upload.

1. Open your file

PDF, JPG or PNG. It loads instantly — nothing is sent anywhere.

2. Run OCR

One click recognises the page. Select a word, line, sentence or paragraph.

3. Edit in place

Type the fix, choose font, size, style and colour, and watch the live preview. The rest of the page stays untouched.

4. Export clean

Save the corrected page — or the whole document — as a compressed PDF or a PNG, with the name you choose.

100% private

There is no server to upload to. Everything runs on your device. The Mac app also works offline.

Web and desktop

Use it in any desktop browser, or as a native Mac app that works fully offline.
